Mont Fleuri mourns loss of a centenarian |23 July 2015

A centenarian from the district of Mont Fleuri, Rosalia Agrippine, passed away days after turning 104.

Although she was unable to make merry on her birthday due to ill health, she received a hamper from the President’s Office to commemorate the day.

Mrs Agrippine was born on July 8, 1911 and lived with her two younger sisters at Foret Noire.

Before moving to Foret Noire, Mrs Agrippine, who comes from a family of seven, lived at Belvedere.

She earned a living by washing and ironing other people’s clothes.

She married at an early age but had no children of her own. Her husband died at the age of 46.

Mrs Agrippine’s funeral will be held this afternoon at the Good Shepherd’s Church.
