All’s set for this year’s Youth Festival |29 August 2013

Young people of Seychelles will be presented with an array of opportunities to showcase their talents in this year’s Youth Festival set for August 30-September 1.

The three days of activities will take place on all the three main islands of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue.  The youths will be able to participate in various new activities, scheduled on the programme.

New on the programme this year is a presentation and discussion to commemorate the 10 years of the Aspiration 2003 project.  This will take place during the opening ceremony of the festival at the International Conference Centre (ICCS).

Another novelty is a Youth Buzz bazaar which will take place at the Camion Hall (ex-Codevar).  The bazaar will be in line with the 15th anniversary of the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC).
The youths will also be rewarded for their various talents in the “Sesel enspir mwan” award ceremony which was started in March this year.

They will also get the chance to show their diverse forms of talents through musical shows and sport activities.

Voluntary work and tree planting activity in line with President James Michel’s 10,000-tree initiative also feature on the programme.  The SNYC is a key partner in keeping tag on the number of trees being planted.

The aim of this youth festival is to allow the youths of Seychelles to come together as a group and socialise among themselves while benefitting educationally and socially through the various activities they take part in.
