Marek Trajter deported |19 September 2013

The government yesterday deported Marek Trajter from Seychelles in accordance with the provisions of the Immigration Decree and Supreme Court order, dated September 6, 2013.
A communiqué from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Transport issued yesterday said that Marek Trajter was en route to his home country, Slovakia.

Marek Trajter has been in detention under immigration Decree by a lawful process awaiting his deportation since September 5, 2013.  He went to the Seychelles Supreme Court asking the court to declare his arrest and his detention as illegal, but failed.

The Court ordered the mandatory departure of Mr Trajter to his home country, and that he must board the flight arranged by the Immigration authorities at 11:25pm on September 7, 2013, an order which Mr Trajter refused to obey.

Mr Trajter is a fugitive from justice, and is the subject of an international arrest warrant, a European arrest warrant, and an INTERPOL Red Alert Notice, on charges relating to murder.
