Adrien, who received the event's top trophy on Saturday July 3 will also be able to fly to South Africa, courtesy of Air Seychelles, who offered the ticket as this year's reward for the show's best overall winner.
It was the Minister for Environment and Natural Resources, Mr Ronny Jumeau, who presented Adrien with the trophy at the International Conference Centre on Saturday, as 374 other participants of the National Day celebrations event took home prizes worth a total of R184,000.

Janina Edmond who was only 10 points short of Adrien's 220, came second, and was followed in third position by Nathanielle Rigodon, who garnered 150 points with her total of nine prizes.
Among those rated among the top 10 winners, in order of their ranking, were Flocia Samson, Denis Labrosse, Yvonne Pool, JR's collection, the Botanical Gardens, Andrine Denis, Farmers' Training Centre, Germain Morel, Tahiri Henriette and Archange Adrienne.

The coordinator of the event, Mr Antoinne-Marie Moustache told Nation that each first prize in a category won the participant 20 points, while a second prize scored 15, and a third prize, 10 points.
He noted, however, that there were no participants in many categories, which explained why only R184,000 worth or prizes was given out and not the total of R241,000 that was on offer originally.

Speaking before the presentation, the chairperson of the National Day Celebrations committee, Designated Minister and Minister for Education and Youth, Mr Danny Faure, thanked all the exhibitors and organisers of the event.

He said the June 17-19 event attracted about 20,000 visitors, and that it added joy to the National Day celebrations.
He noted that there were among them many young people, and particularly schoolchildren who learned a lot from the event, and without it, the celebrations would not have been as joyous.

"It is your participation that brought so much joy, and without it, there would have been no show" he told the individuals and representatives of those who exhibited at the show.
He also extended a special word of appreciation to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and Minister Jumeau in particular for their support towards the event.

As did coordinator Moustache, he also thanked the many sponsors who contributed towards the prizes of the winners.
