Football: Sunkiss'd league division one-Hat-trick for Brutus as Red Star thrash Plaisance

Brutus, scorer of the first hat-trick in this year's league championship in the 5-1 win over Sunshine before signing a second in the 5-0 victory against Light Stars, scored four goals in Sunday's game against lowly Plaisance in their third Sunkiss'd division one league match.

Plaisance, under the captaincy of James Bill, leaked in goals as early as the 16th minute.
The hardworking Jeffrey Brutus broke free on the left wing and, after a brilliant control, played a neat cross to his younger brother Wilnes whose first-time shot at the near post beat Plaisance's custodian Randolph Didon for a 1-0 lead.

Five minutes later, the same Wilnes Brutus used his pace to beat Plaisance's off-side trap before rounding goalie Didon to score in an empty net (2-0).

Brutus has scored three hat-tricks in as many matches

In the 26th minute, prolific scorer Wilnes Brutus turned provider, setting up Malagasy strike partner René-Yves Raonizory who beat goalie Didon with a low shot at the near post for Red Star's third goal.

Plaisance reduced the deficit in the 29th minute through new recruit Alex Bistoé formerly with St Louis. Bill played a through ball from midfield to Michael Hertel who, in turn, found the unmarked Bistoé inside the six-yard box and he wasted no time to slot the ball home (3-1).
Red Star tried to restore their three-goal cushion, but in the 37th minute, Roanizory's effort inside the danger zone blazed over the cross-bar. A minute later, goalie Didon pulled off a top drawer save to tip a Wilnes Brutus powerful header over the cross-bar.

Diminutive striker Raonizory got his second goal of the match in the 49th minute from a left wing centre by Wilnes Brutus to bring the score to 4-1.
Wilnes Brutus completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute when he rose majestically to head home a Nigel Freminot teasing cross (5-1).

The striker put the final nail into Plaisance's coffin in the 84th minute with a brilliant diving header at the far post from a Jeffrey Brutus assist.

With four goals in Sunday's match, Wilnes Brutus leads the top scorer's chart with 10 strikes, while Raonizory has six as Red Star, who, like Anse Réunion, have nine points from three games, lead the standings on goal difference.
