SNP delegation on visit to Reunion |12 July 2004

According to a communique from SNP's secretariat, the SNP delegation will be official guests at the French National Day celebrations on July 14.

The five-day programme from July 12 to 16 will include visit to several communes and projects, the communique says.

Besides Mr Ramkalawan the delegation include Party Secretary Roger Mancienne, members of the National Assembly, representatives of the SNP Women's Organisation and of other party organisations.

Mr Ramkalawan has said that the visit is part of the party's objective to strengthen links within the region and further abroad.

He expects that the SNP delegation will have discussions with a wide range of personalities in areas like fisheries, tourism, agriculture, health and education.
