Football: Sunkiss'd division one-Sunshine bulldoze tailenders Plaisance |24 July 2004

The loss is Plaisance's fifth in five outings and with no point to their accounts, they are carrying the weight of the 10-team league table.

Plaisance, under the captaincy of lanky midfielder James Bill who has scored three of his team's four goals in the five matches, have conceded the most goals – 29 in total, 27 more than that conceded by leaders Red Star who have scored 19 goals and leaked in only two.

As for Sunshine, the win, their second in six games, has helped them to sixth position, leapfrogging defending champions St Michel.

Sunshine have hit the back of their opponents' net nine times but have 15 goals against them in six games.

On Thursday, Sunshine came out roaring and their effort paid off in the 15th minute when young striker Ronny Rose gave them the lead with a beautiful strike.
Four minutes later, Denis Mousmie netted Sunshine's second goal while Robert Suzette, formerly with St Michel and Plaisance, got a brace with goals in the 27th and 50th minutes.

Captain Bill was again on target in Thursday's match, scoring his team's sole goal in the 51st minute.

Sunshine's captain Denis Belle added his name on the scorers' list in the 75th minute while central defender Steve Hertel, who had not been in action for the past two years with an ankle injury, put the final nail in Plaisance's coffin with a goal in the 89th minute.
