HM’s last flight to Dubai Friday |31 December 2004

The decision for Air Seychelles to stop flying to Dubai is a result of too much capacity on the route and with the expected arrival of three weekly flights by Emirates as from January 2, and services to Doha currently provided by Qatar Airways.

However, Air Seychelles' general sales agents in the United Emirates, the Middle East and the Far East will continue as the national airline's business partners selling Air Seychelles as an off-line carrier.

Air Seychelles launched its weekly Seychelles-Dubai-Mumbai service in April 1995 operating a Boeing 757 aircraft. This was later changed to a Seychelles-Dubai-London service operated by a Boeing 767 aircraft.

As from December 2001, Air Seychelles used its Boeing 737-700 aircraft to operate the Mahe-Dubai-Mahe service.
