Airtel’s Valentine winners receive prizes |28 February 2005

Mr Adela was among the three of the five lucky winners who collected their prizes last week at Airtel’s head office at Roche Caiman. He struck it lucky when he downloaded an Airtel picture message on February 17, one day before the closing date of the competition. He received his tickets from Ms Rose-Mary Hoareau from Qatar Airways.

The other winners are Rachel Scholastique, Richard Mondon, Bertrand Richmond and Dominica Biscornet.

The competition lasted for one week and the five winners were picked out of 5,000 other entries. Every picture message downloaded gave the mobile user the chance to participate in the draw, which took place in the presence of a representative of Seychelles Police on February 18. 

Ms Scholastique, who’s been an Airtel customer for three years, commented that she was very fortunate to be able to replace her old handset with a new Nokia mobile phone, while Mr Mondon won an Airtel hamper valued at R500. Shortly after the prize giving, Ms Biscornet donated her prize, a bouquet of flowers to her mother, who sustained an injury a while ago.

According to the management of Airtel, value-added promotions have given a number of users to participate and won attractive prizes on a regular basis as well as contributed to bringing a lot of excitement among the company’s clients and in adding the fun to its latest Fun Services.

Over the past months, Airtel’s draws had produced over 900 winners and the company has promised customers more exciting promotions in the near future.
