Praslin gets new beauty salon

One of the rooms set for hot stone therapy

Based in small business centre, the salon is run by beauty professional Beryl Scharpf who owns La Jeunesse Beauty Salon at the Pirates Arm building in Victoria.

Ms Scharpf told Business Nation that the opening of the salon follows the increasing popularity of her business on Mahe, which was attracting clients from Praslin, La Digue and Cousine.

The only existing beauty and spa service on Praslin is being offered by the Lemuria Resort, and Ms Scharpf said besides interest from the locals, there was also a demand among tourists for such services.

At her salon, clients, Ms Scharpf said, could rely on her 15-year experience to enjoy the same standard of service and results, but for half the price being offered in five-star resorts.

With the interior decor of its three rooms done in pink and purple colours, the salon operates in a serene environment, giving off a nice cooling effect, ideal for relaxation.

The salon will be employing three beauty therapists, two Seychellois and a foreigner.
In addition to body seaweed wrap and hot stone therapy, it offers non-surgical facelift, facial, massage, nail extension among other services.

Ms Scharpf, who has gained vast experience after having lived 25 years abroad and who has travelled in several countries, said her aim is to offer services that would pamper her clients and leave that lasting impression that would make them talk about the quality of beauty treatment in Seychelles.

"It's all part of the drive for each and every one of us to contribute a little extra to boost the tourism industry," she stated.
International Health and Beauty Salon is open from Monday to Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
