Snoc’s holiday camp a success

Although it expected a turnout of 100 schoolchildren but with only 65 responding positively, Snoc has said that it will run such a day camp once again during the next school holidays.

For the whole of last week, schoolchildren from different schools, the President’s Village and the St Elizabeth Convent participated in the day camp within the Roche Caïman sports complex.

They had to do four sporting disciplines each day and according to the same spokesperson, the children enjoyed themselves a lot.

Olympic Club facilitators, secondary schoolchildren and coaches coming from 17 sporting federations and associations helped in coaching the participants.

“We hope to organise the holiday camp again and even the federations and associations have expressed their willingness to do it again as it helped the kids to get acquainted to different sports,” added the spokesperson.
