Football: Airtel Cup-SMB score five times in second win |21 May 2005

Instead, they suffered another loss, this time on a lighter score of 5-0 as SMB collected only their second victory in eight games.

Che Dorasamy gave SMB, who lost the first round fixture 0-2, the right start with a 13th minute goal, but coach Dereck Barbé’s Baie Ste Anne 96ers held on until the 63rd minute before conceding a second goal.

Collin Laporte was the author of SMB’s second goal and he got his second personal on the stroke of full-time.

In between Laporte’s goals, Cyril Edmond (70th) and Brian Dorby (75th) scored one each for SMB who finished the match with 10 men after tall defender Terrence Kilindo was sent off by referee Jean-Claude Labrosse for a second bookable offence.

With the win, SMB have brought their points tally to nine out of a possible 24 after two wins, three draws and three defeats for fourth place.

Baie Ste Anne 96ers, with just one win and seven defeats, have finished with just three points and at the bottom of group B.
