Volleyball-Coach Camille “no longer has anything to do with Arsu” |24 May 2005

“I’m making this statement to avoid any confusion. I’m no longer involved with Arsu. I wish the team good luck for the future,” said Camille, who is now coaching men’s first division side United Brothers and women’s team United Sisters who are challenging for promotion to the top flight after missing the train last year.

Both teams fall under the same management.
It is to note that Camille won the Indian Ocean Club Championship (IOCC) title with Arsu in 2003, five years after guiding men’s team Beau Vallon to winning the first of their four titles in 1997.

In March 2004, Camille trained Arsu but did not make the trip to Mauritius as the defending champions, under coach Julien Onezime, kept their crown and brought their number of title wins to four.
In December last year on home soil, Arsu relinquished the IOCC crown after losing 0-3 to ASPTT in the final.

Coach Onezime, who is also the head coach of Anse Royale Youth, is now working with the 10-time League champions.

It is also to note that coach Camille won a bronze medal with the country’s men’s team at the Sixth Indian Ocean Islands Games (IOIG) in Mauritius in 2003.
