ROBOTS in town for Children's Day |25 May 2005

Over 170 children from the President's Village, Foyer de Nazareth, Ste Elizabeth's Convent, and School for the Exceptional Child will be ferried to Deepam Cinema, courtesy of SPTC (Seychelles Public Transport Corporation) on Saturday May 28 for the 10.00 a.m. show which is being sponsored by the management of Deepam Cinema.

ROBOTS is a highly acclaimed movie from 20th Century Fox, depicting robots made out of recycled materials. It is a story about naïve Rodney Copperbottom and his misfit friends who try to track down their hero in 'Robot City' where they are challenged by evil characters.

The film features big names such as Robin Williams, Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry, Mel Brook to name but a few, doing the voice overs.

Some 40 additional tickets are available for sale for Saturday's show.
"Why not treat your children to a fun movie?" the management asked.

On Saturday morning, members of the Soroptimist Club will also be visiting and distributing biscuits to children on the Paediatric Ward of Victoria Hospital.

The Soroptimist International Club of Victoria is an non-profit organisation working for charitable purposes with the aim of assisting the less fortunate members of society.

The club feels that this gesture is doubly fitting and in line with the national theme adopted for this year "Our children, our treasure, our future."
