Hospital gets money for heart machines |27 May 2005
The cheque was presented to the principal secretary for Health Maurice Loustau-Lalanne on Wednesday May 25.
Mr Demjan who has plans to invest in Seychelles is one of the founders and chairman of TriGranit Development Corporation, a company based in Hungary which offers various real estate-related services.
Mr Loustau-Lalanne said the donation was timely as the equipment, used to administer controlled electric shocks to the chest or heart to correct fluttering heartbeats, was on the health department's priority list.
He said the generous gesture indicates to the people of Seychelles that we have "good friends" in the international community who are playing an important role in the development of our health services.
He said the machines will greatly contribute towards improving the health services given to the people.
