Golf-Asba cards 41 to win the Amusement Centre tournament

Winner Asba (1st right) accepts the top prize from Mr Labrosse as club captain Rizvi looks on

Garry Poupounneau settled for the runner-up berth with 39 points, including 20 on the front-nine.

Like Poupounneau, Francis Mondon also shot 20 on the front nine but finished with 38 points after a back nine performance of 18 to take third place.

Because Asba (with 21 points on the front nine), Poupouneau and Mondon (both with 20 points on the front nine) finished among the top three and won individual prizes, Stephen Ah-Moye won the prize for the best front nine with 19 points.

Russ Thompson took the prize for best back nine with 21 points.

Seasoned female golfer Margaret Pragassen garnered 34 points to finish 10th overall out of 36 participants to capture the best female player accolade.

The prizes were presented to the winners by Lewis Labrosse in the presence of club captain Zee Rizvi during a dinner party sponsored by Amusement Centre.
