The donation, made on Tuesday May 31 (morning) at the school, comprises biscuits, other snacks and canned food sponsored by shoppers at Docklands Supermarket last Saturday.

The activity was an initiative of members of the Seychelles Round Table No.4, who managed to collect goods worth R3,500 in a basket which was placed at the supermarket.

Chairman of the club, Mr Raja Ramani, said that the Seychelles Round Table No.4 had been inactive for a while and to get it back on track they have decided to come up with such a charitable activity to spice up the Children's Day celebration for the disabled children at the school.

"Members of the public have been very supportive towards the purpose of our activity and have contributed generously," said Mr Ramani while commenting on the shoppers' contributions.

He also took the opportunity to thank all those who made the contributions and also Docklands Supermarket for its assistance.

When accepting the donation in the presence of teachers and children, the headteacher of the school, Mrs Monica Accouche, thanked members of the public for their kind gesture and also members of the Round Table No.4 for making the donation possible, noting that the children appreciate their generosity.
