AfDB mission arrives to discuss loan |28 April 2009

The bank will have talks with the government over a loan of US $20 million to support the economic reform programme.

The mission will discuss budget support with several government bodies including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tender Board, National Bureau of Statistics, Central Bank and Chamber of Commerce.

The AfDB mission comprises team leader and economist Shirley Chinien, country economist Peninah Kariuki and consultant and macroeconomist Rattan Bhatia. The delegation is expected to leave on May 8.
