Football: Barclays leagues division two and three round-up-Leaders stay unbeaten |15 May 2009

On Tuesday at Stad Linite, St Francis extended their winning streak to seven games and at the same time ended Fire Brigade’s five-game winning streak with a 2-1 victory.

Baie Lazare-based St Francis have a maximum 21 points after seven wins in as many games, and it’s no surprise as they have the best attack with 18 goals and best defence after conceding just three goals.

Fire Brigade are second on 15 points from five wins and a defeat, followed in third place by St Roch with 10 after three victories, a draw and two losses.

SPDF (six points after two wins and two defeats), Côte d’Or (six points after two wins and two defeats), Young Pirates (six points after two wins and four defeats), Mont Buxton (six points after two wins and four defeats), The Lions (1 point after a draw and three defeats), and Arsu (0 point after five defeats) are in fourth to ninth positions in the nine-team league standings.

In the third-tier league, Pointe Larue-based St John Bosco are enjoying a six-game win run for 18 points and first place in the 10-team ladder.

They have found the back of their opponents’ net 22 times – the same total as sixth-placed Young Pirates – and conceded seven goals.

In second place are Quincy with 14 points after four wins, two draws and a defeat.
Mont Fleuir (four wins, a draw and a defeat), River Star (three wins, a draw and two defeats), Villa (nine points after three wins and four defeats), Young Tigers (eight points after two wins, two draws and two defeats), Agrics (six points after a win, three draws and two defeats), Bel Air (six points after two wins and four defeats), West Coast Brothers (three points after a win and five defeats), and Beau Vallon (one point after a draw and five defeats) are ranked third to 10th.
