Youth leaders redecorate Mont Fleuri police station |23 May 2009
Apart from a new coat of paint, the building also benefited from its compound being cleaned and landscaping work done.
According to the foundation’s office manager Joel Bacco, they chose Mont Fleuri police station because it serves the whole community, and even people from other districts. He said the work followed a request by the foundation’s youth leader for Mont Fleuri.
He explained that the Jj Spirit Foundation also wants to educate the youth about the importance of services provided by the police who, he said, bring peace and stability to the country.
Mr Bacco added that with the recent increase in the number of crimes locally, it is very important to reassure the youth and the general public that they can count on the police for support – in other words, to boost the public’s trust in the police force.
He said the foundation will continue to help the different local communities and make the lives of residents easier.
