National Assembly delegation on visit to China |10 June 2009

The visit follows an invitation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress of China after its chairman gave a commitment while in Seychelles last year to reinforce the friendly cooperation between the two parliaments.

During the visit, the Seychellois delegation will meet the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hai Jun, and other high-level officials to discuss issues of common interest including the new National Assembly building.

Other members of the delegation are MNAs Nicholas Prea, Ginette Gamatis and Clifford Andre, and Shelda Commettant from the assembly’s secretariat.
The visit is partly sponsored by the Chinese embassy in Seychelles.
