Seychelles and Cuba sign sports agreement |13 June 2009

The Minister for Community Development, Youth, Sports and Culture arrived in Cuba on Tuesday for a working visit.

On Wednesday he was scheduled to meet members of a community centre and the management of the Cubadeportes sports complex. He also visited the Havana-based Anti-Doping Control Centre.

Mr Meriton’s programme also included a visit to the International School of Physical Education and Sports, a meeting with officials of the Cuban Culture Ministry and leaders of the Young Communist League.

Yesterday he attended the Cuba-Bulgaria game in the men’s World Volleyball League at Havana’s Sports City coliseum.
Today he is due to meet the president of the Cuban National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, Christian Jimenez, with whom he will sign a cooperation agreement.
