Central Bank launches new website |02 July 2009

The new website covers the history of central banking in Seychelles, an overview of policy instruments currently in place to address the requirements of the economic reform programme, as well as access to CBS’ publications and other pertinent legislations.

In addition, issues of particular interest such as exchange rates and reserve money position are updated on a daily basis, whilst other indicators such as inflation and interest rates are monitored on a monthly basis.

For the benefit of other professionals and for research purposes, the site also offers a series of more in-depth statistics in terms of monetary and financial data, government budget figures, real sector and balance of payments.  Survey forms used to compile statistics from relevant organisations can also be downloaded here.
