Fishing authority fills two top posts

Ms Henriette, SFA’s new chief executive

Ina Henriette has been named as the new chief executive and Roy Clarisse as her deputy, following the recent departure of the previous CEO, Rondolph Payet.

Ms Henriette has been deputy chief executive since she joined the SFA in July 2008. She has over 12 years’ work experience, including five years in fish inspection and quality control at Indian Ocean Tuna and the Seychelles Bureau of Standards.

Mr Clarisse previously held the post of manager (fisheries management) and has worked with the SFA for 11 years in total.

Both are university graduates with bachelor degrees and proved to be good candidates for the posts with exposure to fisheries issues both locally and on the international front, the ministry said yesterday. The appointments take effect as of September 1.
