Jahrimba releases Sa Ki Sa Deal

Jahrimba’s latest album is entitled Sa Ki Sa Deal (Demil-Diss)When he popped into the Seychelles Nation office on Thursday morning, he brought with him the sleeve of his latest and fifth album – Sa Ki Sa Deal (Demil-Diss). Although it was released on December 24, the artist is only now taking the opportunity to make it known and available to the masses.

With a lot of guts, determination and talent, Jahrimba – whose other four albums are entitled Vibrasyon Tropikal (released in 2005), Zoli Pei Sesel (2006), Zanfan Getto (2006) and Spektakiler (2009) – gets his inspiration from real-life situations.

“This is an album about real-life situations,” said Jahrimba, who always shows off his musical wares with every CD released.

“I’ll be 32 on March 8, but this doesn’t stop me from trying to help Seychellois youths during their difficult times. I understand very well what they are going through and this album talks about it all through some positive vibes.

“This is a non-political album. I sing about real issues that affect real people, especially the youths.”

Released under the Getto Souljah.z Productions label, the album is an eclectic conglomeration of 14 songs recorded at the X-Tra Big Sound studio, La Misère.

Artists ‘King Size’, ‘DJ 4 Key’ (Jeovannie Labiche) and ‘DJ And One’ (Andy Lespoir) also feature on the new release, which is selling at R125 in the usual outlets and R100 from Jahrimba himself.

“DJ And One provides me with the rhythms and I do my demos at the home studio of DJ 4 Key before going to the X-Tra Big Sound studio to add the final touches. I thank all those who played a part on the album,” he said.

This CD has something for many music fans and aficionados alike.  So if you want to listen to some uplifting party songs or the ones for the dance floor, just buy a copy of Jahrimba’s latest work and you’re sure to hear some exotic vibes on the bouncy dancehall beat.
