Indian naval ship helps in anti-piracy patrol |06 May 2010
The INS Trishul, which took part in the National Day celebrations in Seychelles in 2005 and in 2009, has a displacing capacity of 4,000 tonnes (approx) and is equipped with a variety of missiles, guns and other armaments. It is also carrying an armed helicopter.
It is under the command of Captain Dinesh K. Tripathi and has a compliment of 29 officers and 200 other ranks, including units of marine commandos and Quick Response Team.
