Botanica estate project unveiled for investors

Guests viewing models of how the property will look when it is finished

Sunshine Properties Pty Ltd is building the real estate project at the base of Signal Hill in the St Louis district.

At the company’s new management centre and sales office at St Louis – a refurbished wooden Grann Kaz – the guests were shown models of how the property will look when it is finished.

Sunshine Properties’ general manager Flavien Butler-Payette said the company wants to preserve the essence of the house when carrying out the refurbishment work, as it is listed as a monument by the National Heritage Foundation.

The Botanica estate will have among its many luxurious features 46 hillside apartments, five pool villas and 42 plateau town houses.

There will also be a hotel with 10 guestrooms, a swimming pool and a gazebo.

In designing the site, those behind the project are exploiting the wonderful view – which takes in Beau Vallon bay as well as the green background of Morne Seychellois.

Mr Butler-Payette said they are hoping to attract returning Seychellois as well as international investors to Botanica.

This is the first such project in Seychelles for Sunshine Properties, which is also going ahead with the Oceanica project at Glacis this year.

Mr Butler-Payette said it is the company’s policy to invest in the country now that the business environment allows it.

Sunshine Properties has a wholly Seychellois team working on its projects, involved in everything from architecture to management.
