Also present at the meeting was Chinese ambassador to Seychelles Wang Weiguo.

Mr Shao said the aim of his visit to Seychelles is to strengthen cooperation in various health care areas between the two countries.

He said during the meeting with Mr Faure, they reviewed and looked at future cooperation between China and Seychelles in health care.

Mr Shao said China will continue to develop further working partnership with the Seychelles government.

He added that though he will not be staying for the hand-over ceremony next week of the new Anse Royale hospital, a project supported by the Chinese government, he hopes that it will serve the people of Seychelles better.
