District meetings to attract jobseekers |16 July 2011

The initiative is in line with President James Michel’s call to provide jobseekers with a platform to voice out their concerns and ask questions about the procedures relating to job searching. The meeting will also help identify the main difficulties jobseekers are facing when seeking employment.

Employment department officials and representatives from various private employment agencies will also take part in this exercise which should be an ideal opportunity for jobseekers to register and ultimately secure employment.

The first meeting will take place on Monday July 18 at the Anse Aux Pins community centre at 1.30pm, followed by Anse Royale on Wednesday and Pointe Larue on Friday.

All meetings will be held in the district community centres. Details for other district meetings will be communicated as the meetings take place on a weekly basis.

The employment department is calling on all jobseekers to make the most of the opportunity to secure employment.
