Seychelles at IMF-World Bank annual meetings |23 September 2011

Accompanying Mr Laporte at the September 23-25 meetings are Ahmed Afif, principal secretary for Finance and other senior officials from the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance.
 
Prior to attending the annual meetings the delegation took part in the Commonwealth Central Bank Governors meeting and Commonwealth Finance Minister’s meeting.

Seychelles will also be showcasing its experience at the Small States Forum, where Mr Afif will be making a presentation on the theme ‘Resolution of Debt Problems in Small States’ and also at the IMF seminar ‘Technical Assistance-Tackling the crisis and building institutions for the future’ where Governor Pierre Laporte will be chairing one of the sessions, and speaking about the Seychelles experience.

The delegation will also meet other multilateral organisations and bilateral partners to discuss cooperation issues.
