Seychelles gets first resident ambassador to the UAE

The accreditation ceremony took place at the AL Mushrif Palace.

Conveying warm greetings and wishes from President Michel, the government and people of Seychelles, Ambassador Esparon reiterated the country’s desire to deepen further the already excellent bilateral relations that exist between Seychelles and the UAE.

He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity given to him to represent Seychelles in the UAE and praised the prudent policies adopted by the UAE under the capable leadership of President Khalifa.

His Highness President Khalifa asked Ambassador Esparon to convey his best wishes of friendship to President Michel, the government and people of Seychelles and reiterated the UAE’s keenness to extend bridges of friendship and cooperation with Seychelles and to build balanced relations with all the fraternal and friendly countries of the world.

He also stressed the UAE’s constant endeavour to develop economic, cultural and tourism relations with Seychelles.

The event was attended by the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the armed forces, general Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nayan, and the ruler’s representative in the eastern region, Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nayan, representative in the western region; Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nayan, national security advisor; Lt General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nayan, deputy prime minister and minister of Interior; Sheikh Mansour Bin Al Zayed Al Nayan, deputy prime Minister and minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nayan, chief of Abu Dhabi crown prince’s court and other sheikhs, ministers and senior officers. 

Previously based in New Delhi, India, ambassador Esparon is now based in Abu Dhabi.
