Subios delegation and German-based partner calls on President Michel

Mr Ezekiel presents one of the watches to President Michel in the presence of staff from STB and the Office of the President

Present at the meeting were Kenneth Ezekiel of the Dievas Company, secretary of state Barry Faure and several principal secretaries, the Seychelles Tourism Board’s chief executive Alain St Ange and his deputy Elsia Grandcourt.

Based in Germany with offices all over the world, Dievas is a company that specialises in high-quality, exquisitely-made watches – mostly made for diving.

Mr Ezekiel presented one of the watches to President Michel and said it was one of a batch of 25 uniquely-made watches.

Mr Ezekiel said the watches are engraved with the Seychelles national crest and each costs US $2200.

“We have decided to take part actively in Subios as from this year and the coming years because we see a good strategy point in the marketing of our company, as well as doing our part to support such events,” he said.

“We will be contributing to activities such as diving competitions, underwater photography and videos, cleaning rubbish from sites such as beaches and the ocean floor, spreading awareness about conservation.”

The delegation then left State House to proceed to the opening ceremony of the Subios festival at the Beau Vallon beach.
