Handball: Mohan League-Storm stay top despite dropping first point |19 November 2011

In the other scheduled women’s match on, RC Girls walked over PLS Hurricanes Sisters. The win keeps RC Girls in fourth position with 14 points. They have registered four wins, three defeats and a draw. They have 83 goals for and 135 against.

As for PLS Hurricanes Sisters, they are carrying the weight of the league table with only four points. They have 11 goals for and 328 against.

In the men’s matches, leaders Super 8 came closer to lifting the title with a 40-38 win over PLS Hurricanes, while Durantha consolidated the runners-up spot with a 38-33 victory over Young Eagles. In the other scheduled match, Tiger HB walked over AC Brothers.

Super 8 have now garnered 35 points from 11 wins and a single draw and have scored 452 goals, while conceding 249.
Second placed Durantha Brothers are on 30 points after eight wins, two losses and two draws. They have 395 goals for and 292 against.

PLS Hurricanes are third on 24 points after six wins, five loses and a draw. They have scored 397 goals and conceded 335.

Also on 24 points are fourth-placed Young Eagles who have registered six wins, four defeats and a draw. They have 357 goals for and 306 against.

Tiger HB are occupying fifth place with 20 points from five wins and five losses. They have scored 175 goals and conceded 151.

Tailenders AC Brothers have 18 points from three wins, eight losses and a draw. They have 247 goals for and 321 against.
