SLTA launches hotline number |05 December 2011

Although the hotline number will operate on a 24-hour basis, members of the public are being urged to make their general complaints and suggestions during working hours 8am-4pm.

After working hours, if there are any emergency cases such as landslides or fallen trees on public roads, then the hotline number can be used to inform the SLTA.

“Launching the hotline was already in SLTA’s plan, and now with our taskforce inspection programme that was released last week we hope to get the full collaboration of the public,” a spokesperson for the agency said.

“The taskforce inspectors go to various areas around Mahe, Praslin and La Digue to assess the state of the roads, through their inspections they distinguish areas that need attention and with the hotline in operation this will help SLTA to move forward in improving its communications between public and agency,” added the spokesperson.
