NDEA seizes R1 million worth of illegal drugs |12 December 2011

According to a communiqué from the NDEA, the most recent operation took place in the early hours of Saturday.

As part of these targeted operations, NDEA agents moved to search a house in the Foret Noire area which had been under surveillance for some time, in the course of which the search agents uncovered approximately 4 kilos of cannabis and a certain amount of heroin.

A 31-year-old male freelance skipper and 39-year-old unemployed female were arrested.

Both suspects will be brought before the courts where an application to have them remanded in custody will be made to enable the completion of the investigation.
