Asean head to attend Carnaval International de Victoria |04 February 2012

Dr Pitsuwan will head a delegation comprising different cultural groups from nine countries – Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and the Philippines.

“This is great news for Seychelles and for the Carnaval International de Victoria. They will help improve the visibility of our islands to the Asean bloc. We are honoured that the secretary general of Asean is himself leading a delegation from his member states,” said Seychelles Tourism Board chief executive Alain St Ange.

This year’s second Carnaval International de Victoria to be held in Seychelles’ only town – Victoria – is co-organised by Seychelles and Reunion. The confirmed number of international delegations flying to Seychelles stands at 26.
