Dance students take international exams

Aged between five and 16 years, the students were chosen according to their performance during their usual weekly classes.

“Preparation was important and our four teachers – Ruth Louise, Denis Rose, Camilla Jean-Louis and myself – did their best to prepare whom we felt were ready to take up the challenge,” said dance instructor Daniella Rose.

Judith Hocaaday, an examiner from Great Britain, assessed the students while they performed their dances and Ms Rose said the results will be announced in a month’s time.

“The aim of the exams is mostly to see how far our students have progressed,” said Ms Rose before expressing her desire to see more boys dancing and sitting these exams.
