Basketball: Curtain-raiser competition-Premium Cobras and HotShots reach finals |22 March 2012

Cobras booked their final spot after their 75-65 semifinal victory over RC Dynamics on Tuesday, while Anse Boileau-based HotShots thrashed RA Sisters 73-38 in the women’s semifinal on Saturday.

After trailing Dynamics 12-17 at the end of the first quarter, Cobras stepped up their game in the remaining three periods which they won 18-12, 26-20 and 19-16 to win the match 75-65.

Captain Amadou Sylla led the scoring for the Cobras with 24 points, while Emmanuel Larue was Dynamics’ top scorer with 16 points.

The Cobras were to know their opponents for the final last night during the second semifinal match between Angels and PLS Hawks.
