Judo-Monique Athanase elected judo chairperson |26 March 2012

Unchallenged for the post, Athanase got 10 out of 10 votes to succeed Francis Remie who did not stand for re-election. Remie himself took over the chairmanship of the Seychelles Judo Federation (SJF) during an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) in October 2010 after Allen de Létourdie resigned from office. Mr de Létourdie had replaced Gerard Baker as chairman earlier in 2010.

New chairperson Athanase will work alongside vice-chairman Mervyn Joubert, treasurer Lisa Lesperance, secretary Sandra Mathiot, ordinary members Brigitte Rose, Calix César, Vanessa Narty and Dr Ludmilla Marie.
