225 graduate in business studies, accounting and visual arts-. Sharel Arnephie and Herve Dine clinch President’s Cups

Both students – who were among 225 who got their certificates – received their cups from Vice-President Danny Faure during the two schools’ graduation ceremony at the University of Seychelles theatre yesterday afternoon.

Present at the ceremony were Education Minister Macsuzy Mondon and her principal secretary Merida Delcy as well as the leader of government business in the National Assembly Marie-Antoinette Rose and opposition leader in the Assembly David Pierre. Also there were senior government officials.

The Visual Arts School head Christine Payet and that of Business Studies and Accounting Joan Amade were also present along with parents of the graduates.

There were also awards and prizes for best performers in several courses.
From the School of Business Studies and Accounting the best performer in diploma in office management and administration went to Diane Luc. Nadine Confait is the best performer in business studies and accounting and Jane Pirame in advanced diploma in Business Studies and accounting. Mukula Simba got the award for outstanding performer in diploma in office management and administration. The outstanding performer in diploma in business studies and accounting is Sabrina Larue and Tira Simeon is the outstanding performer in advanced diploma in business studies and accounting.

Whereas Nathalie Marie, who has followed a diploma in business studies and accounting got the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Shield.

From the School of Visual Arts the best performers in advanced level certificate went to: Fine Art – Mona Prosper; Graphic Design – Alice Frichot; Textile – Lisa Hoareau and Fashion – Tracy Elizabeth. Outstanding performers at Diploma Level went to: Fine Art – Antoine Monnaie; Graphic Design – Gina Vidot; Textile – Catherina D’Offay and Fashion – Samentha Chang-Tave.

Antoine Monnaie also received a special award for his outstanding performance in the A Level GCE Art Exam.
