Allisop narrowly won the light weight (60kg) category bout 19-18 against Okoth – who won his opening bout by RSC against Zambian Bazila Ngosa – to reach the semi-final and book his ticket to London.

He now joins Praslinois judoka Dominique Dugasse who has also qualified for the Games.
Seychelles’ other fighter at the tournament, Jovet Jean, lost his bout on points 11-6 against Vidal Gaieta of Angola.
