Played on a stableford format, the tournament was contested by a record 43 golfers and it generated considerable interest among the local sports lovers, especially golf lovers.
The first tee-off group was seen off by Designated Minister Vincent Meriton who spent some time with the golfers prior to the start of the tournament.

The golfers played some great golf thanks to the wonderful weather. David Deltel finished second to winner Loustau-Lalanne, while Martin Walker took third place. Louis Vandagne won the prize for best front nine, while Patrick Asba took those for best back nine and longest drive.

Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Paul Adam and Indian High Commissioner Thanglura Darlong congratulated all the prize winners as well as the other golfers before distributing the prizes to the winners.

They acknowledged that such events are a positive step towards promoting goodwill and friendship between the two countries.  High Commissioner Darlong expressed hope that the golf tournament could become an annual feature.  A reception was organised for all the golfers on the occasion.
