Seychelles School Photography Competition-Time to click and snap! |28 June 2012

This year’s theme ‘Where harmony is a way of life’ challenges participants to capture the extraordinary diversity of Seychelles as a country with people of diverse origins, culture and religion, living in harmony.

The competition is looking for images of people, situations or places that illustrate the multi-cultural aspects of Seychelles with a special ‘twist’, iconic pictures of the country and its many virtues and attributes that ‘tell a unique story’ and are powerful enough to appear as posters and/or images in Seychelles’  tourism brochures.

The competition is open only to children between the ages of 12 and 16 years, residing in Seychelles.
The winner stands to be awarded with the star prize of R10, 000.

Individual participants have the choice of submitting up to two photos and they can be in colour, black and white or sepia; however, they must be the individual work of the participant and must not have been published before.

The participants are also required to include a short description of 25 words with their photos.

Entering the competition is easy; interested participants need to collect a registration form at the Seychelles Tourism Board’s office in Victoria at the Independence House, and that on Praslin and La Digue, as well as at its headquarters at Bel Ombre.

Deadline for submission is set for September 15, 2012 and photos are to be submitted at any of the above mentioned offices of the Seychelles Tourism Board.

The Seychelles Tourism Board encourages all kids who fall within the age group of 12 and 16 years to get creative through the lens of their camera and try for the competition.
