This week in the National Assembly-Seven questions for transport minister

The questions will centre on road maintenance projects for 2012, the construction of pavement at Au Cap, the provision of a minimum fire and rescue facility for Praslin, and the installation of street lights in the districts.

The National Assembly will also consider three motions.
The first motion will be tabled by the leader of government business, Marie-Antoinette Rose, seeking approval of the agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Seychelles on the Status of the European Union-Led Forces in the Republic of Seychelles in the framework of the EU Military Operation Atalanta.

The second motion by the member for Baie Lazare, Wilby Lucas, appeals to the judiciary to put in place appropriate mechanisms to clear the backlog of cases pending before the court.

Member for Roche Caiman, Jeovana Charles, will table the third and final motion which is calling on the government to give the Family Tribunal more powers and to revise how it carries out its functions.
