Golf-Deltel runs away with June Barclays mug |12 July 2012

Played under the medal stroke play format, the golfers came in swinging each wanting to get their hands on the classy crystal mug. At the end of the day, it was Deltel who ran away with victory by a decisive five-shot margin. Shooting a gross 36 on the front and again on the back, Deltel ended up with a net score of 62.

In second place was Jocelyn Ah-Yu with a net score of 67, winning on a count back over Alix Esparon who also shot a net 67.

Sonny Barra, the marketing manager at Barclays Bank Seychelles, was on hand to present Deltel, who had previously had several Barclays’ runner-up medals, with his first crystal mug.

Barclays Bank Seychelles remains a long-standing, faithful supporter of golf on the islands covering many years of partnership with the Seychelles Golf Club.
