Compamy invests in 17 new buses |26 July 2012

The new batch of TATA buses, which will be put into operation today, includes 30-seater and 35-seater buses.

They will run along hilly routes, such as Seaview Estate, Montagne Posée and Kap Bonm Zan, due to its more powerful engines.

“SPTC is once again proud to invest its own funds to gradually improve the quality of services being provided,” the company’s chief executive Geffy Zialor said.

Mr Zialor added that as part of the company’s refurbishment plan, around 12 buses will be removed from operations. These include some of the first ‘713’ and ‘1512’ models.

“Out of those going in for repairs, some will eventually return to operations,” he said.
Two new 30-seater buses will be sent to Praslin for the PTC (Praslin Transport Corporation) operation.
