Seychelles mourns loss of Ghanaian President Mills |27 July 2012

In his letter addressed to the newly inaugurated President John Mahama, President Michel expressed his personal sorrow to have heard of Mills' passing.

The President added that President Mills would be remembered for his “fervent conviction in the potential of his people and their development”.

President Michel also conveyed the thoughts and heartfelt sympathies of the Seychellois nation's people to the family of the Ghanaian President while also stressing that during this moment of grief, Seychelles and Ghana would stand together in solidarity.

In conclusion, the President extended his goodwill to the former vice-president, President John Mahama, as he now looks to guide Ghana through this time of mourning.
