Letter to the Editor-A proud moment for our nation |18 August 2012

We know fully well, with utmost gratitude, how the Cluny Sisters, mostly from the Republic of Ireland, have devoted themselves tirelessly with such extraordinary zeal, dedication and competence towards our GIRLS' EDUCATION since 1861.

On this auspicious occasion, I wish to pay tribute to this dynamic Congregation for what they have accomplished in the sphere of EDUCATION and HEALTH in our country for such a long period.

We hail their elevating to such high office one of our very own, SISTER CLAIRE HOUAREAU, now the MOST REVEREND SUPERIOR GENERAL of her Order, whom we heartily congratulate as well as her family.

We offer her our prayers and wish her well in her new gigantic responsibilities at the Sisters' Mother House in Faubourg Saint Jacques, Paris.
