Golf-Andrade wins August Barclays mug |01 September 2012

Held at the Seychelles golf club last weekend, the competition was a highly challenging affair.

Played under the usual medal stroke play format, the scores in general reflected the tough playing conditions with high winds playing a major role. That did not hamper Andrade who came in with a fantastic score of 64 net, good enough to beat his nearest challenger by five strokes!

Second place was taken by Richard D’Offay with a commendable 69 net. Peter Moncherry also came in with a 69 net, however, when the two score cards were compared hole by hole, it was D’Offay who had the most consistent round.

The sought after crystal mug was presented to Andrade by club captain David Deltel.

Barclays Bank Seychelles remains a long-standing and faithful supporter of golf on the islands covering many years of partnership with the Seychelles golf club.
