Elijah’s new release Sedev is his first ever compilation album of Seychellois veteran musicians.
Voices of strength of Seychelles’ music – Flossel Marengo, Patrick Victor and John Wirtz – all feature on the album along with other well-known veterans.

Elijah has presented a copy of his CD to Tourism and Culture Minister Alain St Ange in the presence of culture principal secretary Benjamine Rose and culture special advisor Raymonde Onezime.

He said that the album, released as part of the Festival Kreol, is to pay tribute to the songs of Seychelles’ veteran artists.

“It’s the first time that I embark on a project to work with so many Seychellois veteran artists who have contributed immensely to the success of the local music industry. We have recorded these songs, and spiced them up with a touch of modernity,’’ said Elijah.

Minister St Ange congratulated Elijah for the release of his album. He said he admired “artists who take initiative to produce albums for national events such as Festival Kreol”.

Elijah’s album will be launched at the Upgrade Nightclub – one Seychelles’ most reputed night clubs.

“Seychelles today organises many events on a national scale. It is important for artists to move early to get their fair share from the event. Shows, launch of a music CD, etc are all positive and commendable moves,” said Minister St Ange.
